At Golcar JIN, we believe that music is a powerful way for children to express themselves, build confidence, and develop creativity. Our rich and inclusive music curriculum gives every pupil the chance to explore rhythm, melody, and performance through singing, playing instruments, composing, and listening to music from a wide range of cultures and traditions.
We are proud to have a musician in residence (Mr Wilkinson) who works alongside our teachers to inspire pupils and enhance music across the school. Through workshops and performances, our musician in residence brings professional expertise and a passion for music-making into the classroom.
Pupils also have the opportunity to take part in individual or small-group music lessons (see below). These lessons help children develop their technical skills, discipline, and love for music even further.
Whether performing in assemblies, school concerts, or community events, our pupils are encouraged to share their talents and experience the joy of making music together.
Mr Wilkinson is able to offer lessons on a wide range of instruments including piano, keyboard, ukulele, drums, guitar (electric and acoustic) and any brass instrument.
